The Bruce Blog is back

The Bruce Blog is the only media outlet dedicated to Auburn basketball and nothing but Auburn basketball. This site will contain Auburn basketball analysis, previews, recruiting breakdowns, and deep dives on other topics with an emphasis on nerding out on Auburn hoops.

Early content will all be free and emailed directly to all subscribers. Different forms of content and analysis are planned if the site gains traction and subscribers, so I hope you’ll join us.

I’ll also cover basketball year-round on this site, due to the importance of the portal, recruiting, scheduling, coaching changes, and even conference realignment.

This site will focus on in-depth reporting, with film breakdowns, deep dives into stats and past games, and recruiting film break downs at the heart of it all.

What is The Bruce Blog?

Jay Phillips has covered Auburn basketball in some form since 2018 and has worked as a newspaper editor in Atlanta since 2019.

After stints at Southeast Hoops, Power of Dixieland, and Fly War Eagle, Jay created The Bruce Blog in 2020 to continue his Auburn basketball coverage.

In 2021, Jay joined the crew at On3 as a basketball analyst for Auburn Live and is now back to being independent with The Bruce Blog.
